Innovation Forum 2012

June 26, 2012 - New York, NY

12:45-9:30; Registration begins at 11:45

Skylight Soho (275 Hudson St.)

You are invited to join us for our second annual Innovation Forum and Awards Ceremony, a uniquely intimate idea-generating session of global thinkers, pioneers and implementers from a variety of backgrounds. Last year, participants identified potential ground-breaking opportunities for innovation in managing 21st century global cities, increasing efficient water use in agriculture and much, much more – ideas that we are putting into action today.  This year, we will be joined by cutting edge inventors and, in a very hands-on session, we will determine how their new technologies might be used to address social needs.  Our goal is to keep the gathering small to enable an exciting process of dialogue and discovery as together we frame ideas that the Rockefeller Foundation and others can fund and put into action.

Participants include:

Arianna Huffington -- Founder and Editor-in-Chief, The Huffington Post
Aneesh Chopra -- First CTO of the United States of America
Bre Pettis – Co-founder and CEO, MakerBot Industries
Mark Post – Professor, Maastricht University; Creator of “no-kill” meat
Carlo Ratti – Director, MIT SENSEable City Laboratory
Claire Diaz Ortiz -- Head of Corporate Social Innovation, Twitter
Maria Aiolova -- Founding Co-President, Terreform ONE
Limor Fried – Founder, Adafruit Industries

We will also honor a group of compelling individuals and organizations who are applying innovation in new and different ways to promote the well-being of humanity around the world.

Ratan Tata – Chairman, Tata Group
Sir Ronald Cohen – Widely regarded as the father of social investment; Director, Social Finance US
J. Carl Ganter – Director and Co-Founder, Circle of Blue
